When setting of for the perfect golf swing you must first line up your shot. A good way to do this is stand behind your ball so that you can see your ball and your target and a straight line between the two. Look maybe six inches to a foot in front of your ball and find a piece of debris or something that is in the direct line to your target. This is going to be your reference for when you are standing over the ball. You can now set the golf club behind the ball with the club face square to your target line. This is where that little piece of debris comes in handy. Next position your body so that your feet, hips, and shoulders are all parallel to your target line. You are now lined up to perform the perfect swing.

While your club face is square to your target grip the club with your left hand first. Lay the backside of the grip across the base of your fingers and wrap your hand around it. Put your thumb on top of the grip pointing down the shaft. You should apply the most pressure with the middle and ring finger. And when I say pressure I mean gently squeeze just enough to know the club won?t fly out of your hands when you do the golf swing. Next you want to add your right hand to the grip as if you were going to shake someone?s hand. You can interlock your right pinky finger with your left pointer, have your right pinky finger overlapping your left pointer finger, or have them side by side on the shaft.

Setting up your stance for a golf swing is key. The perfect golf swing is a swing not a hit. Knowing that, you can understand a good balanced stance is important. You should have your feet shoulder width apart with the ball in the middle of your stance. Keep your hips and shoulders perpendicular to your target line. Your back foot should be perpendicular to the target line. Your front foot should be slightly angled toward the target. Since your right hand is lower on the club your spine should be angled toward your back foot and your head slightly behind the ball and should stay there throughout the swing. Your knees should have a slight bend in them for balance. You should also be leaning forward at the waist keeping your spine straight. Keeping the spine straight is very important because this is the axis you?ll be ?swinging? your body around. Your arms should be somewhat loose and hang from your shoulders down to grip the club.

Before I explain how to cure golf slice, it is very important to understand what exactly a golf slice is and why it occurs. To start a golf slice is simply when the ball begins left of the target and then suddenly extremely cures to the right of the target. Slicing the ball can be frustrating because you will probably be walking to the next fairway to retrieve your ball or even end up in other trouble on the right side, such as out of bounds, sand, water, ect. Causes Of A Golf Slice

Now we can get into the causes of slicing the ball, since you understand what a slice is. First, in order for a slice to happen the ball has to be spinning in a clockwise direction. The clockwise spin of the ball forces the ball to suddenly curve way right. This spin is caused directly from the point of impact it has with the club face. In order for the ball to slice and spin clockwise you have to have a open club face during the time of impact.

· Your golf stance is not square towards the target.
· You line up to the right of the target
· You happen to automatically swing your club with an open club face.

How to Cure Golf Slice

Since the cause of a slice is hitting the ball with an open clubface, the simple cure to a golf slice would be to hit the ball with a square club face. In order to make your clubface square during impact there are several things your can do:

· Make your grip stronger! the golf grip determines how your club comes through to the ball and the flight of the ball when in the air If your grip is too weak, meaning your hands are to far left on the club this is going to cause the club face to be open at impact.

In order to cure golf slice you will need to move your grip into a stronger position by slightly turning both your hands to the right on the club, your right hand thumb should end up pointing toward your right shoulder. When you set up to swing you should be able to see your left first two knuckles. By strengthening your golf grip you will be able to bring the club face through square therefore fixing your golf slice.

· Make sure your golf stance is square! There are many golfers out there who will actually purposely line up left of the target since they consistently hit the ball right hoping that will fix the problem. This theory is completely false and might actually make the slice even worse!

In order to fix this problem you need to make sure that you are not lining up to the left of the target. Want to make sure you are not aiming to far left of the target, take your golf club and set it parallel up against your feet. If you are aligned left of the target fix your stance so that you are parallel with the target. It is also important that besides just your feet parallel with the target your shoulders, knees, and hips are also on the same line and pointed toward the target.

(a) Pitch over a deep bunker;
(b) Hitting over the water;
(c) In between wedge shot;
(d) First hole tee off;
(e) Fairway sand shot;
(f) Downhill four-footer and
(g) Next shot after a shank,

However, hitting behind the ball has its problems, leading golfers to find the secret behind how to stop hitting fat golf shots.

Hitting fat shots still, is not a very rare event for beginners who try to blame their irons for hitting the ground instead of hitting the ball. There are many other golfers out there who are hitting fat golf shots as well, so try not to get so discouraged and think golf is not for you.

The main reason for hitting fat shots actually has little to do with they clubs and mostly to do with your shifting body weight and/or incorrect posture. The golf swing itself also does not have a lot to do with hitting fat golf shots. Most of the time in a fat golf shot the club will hit the grass behind the golf ball, causing a lot of dust and the ball to go basically nowhere. Even though it’s embarrassing, it can be a fairly easy problem to cure.

The following are a couple steps to keep in mind to help cure your fat shot problem.

1.) Start out in your initial set-up position
2.) execute the back swing, stopping at the top of your swing
3.) Begin moving your hips toward the target and watch how your back shoulder dip is affected.
4.) When the shoulder dip is perfect, hit behind the ball.
5.) The fat golf shot problem should be solved, now just continue to practice you swing.
6.) To keep it up, do not indulge in lateral movement.

The key to avoiding this problem is to keep your lower body out of the swing movement. Why not begin your downswing with your arms instead? It can be difficult to break swing habits, even simple ones such as shoulder dips, but once you change and practice it, things will start to become natural.The weight shift may still occur even if you keep the hips still, but it will take place in a more or less natural way.
Also important would be to keep the front shoulder down on the golf ball, which will let you maintain the swing on the right plane. Besides, it will also help the hands synchronize with your body. Be careful that your shoulder remains down toward the target prior to impact or you body will automatically go before your hands causing a fat shot.
