Step By Step Way To Perform The Perfect Golf Swing

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Everyone who golf?s needs to work on their swing. And by everybody I mean EVERYBODY. Professionals, weekend warriors, old, young, and new players. It?s always good to get back to basics and see the simple golf swing instruction.

For beginners this is a great place to start. Learning the basics of the step by step golf swing is a strong basis to continue on learning variations of the golf swing. Knowing how to line up your shot to the follow through is something you need to have that in the bag before you venture on to more advanced tactics.

And of course for the other experienced golfers a refresher can never hurt. Sometimes golfers get caught up in changing their swing they forget some of the basics. Sometimes they shy away from the correctness of swinging a golf club. They also may have overlooked or missed certain parts.

There is always something to improve on. You have to play and monitor how you are playing. The next time you go out keep track of the greens in regulation you hit. How many times you have hit the fairway or wound up in the rough. How many par saves did you have? How well were you hitting out of the bunker if you had to. Were you hooking when you did not intend to. These things will give you something to work on maybe at the range. Pin pointing what is causing your score to suffer is really the only way to improve.

Yeah watching the PGA tour players you see them drawing and fading and hitting it thin and making these amazing shots. But I guarantee they all started with step by step golf swing teachings on how to perform flawless golf swing.

Here is just a glimpse of what the perfect golf swing consists of:

When setting of for the perfect golf swing you must first line up your shot. A good way to do this is stand behind your ball so that you can see your ball and your target and a straight line between the two. Look maybe six inches to a foot in front of your ball and find a piece of debris or something that is in the direct line to your target. This is going to be your reference for when you are standing over the ball. You can now set the golf club behind the ball with the club face square to your target line. This is where that little piece of debris comes in handy. Next position your body so that your feet, hips, and shoulders are all parallel to your target line. You are now lined up to perform the perfect swing.

While your club face is square to your target grip the club with your left hand first. Lay the backside of the grip across the base of your fingers and wrap your hand around it. Put your thumb on top of the grip pointing down the shaft. You should apply the most pressure with the middle and ring finger. And when I say pressure I mean gently squeeze just enough to know the club won?t fly out of your hands when you do the golf swing. Next you want to add your right hand to the grip as if you were going to shake someone?s hand. You can interlock your right pinky finger with your left pointer, have your right pinky finger overlapping your left pointer finger, or have them side by side on the shaft.

Setting up your stance for a golf swing is key. The perfect golf swing is a swing not a hit. Knowing that, you can understand a good balanced stance is important. You should have your feet shoulder width apart with the ball in the middle of your stance. Keep your hips and shoulders perpendicular to your target line. Your back foot should be perpendicular to the target line. Your front foot should be slightly angled toward the target. Since your right hand is lower on the club your spine should be angled toward your back foot and your head slightly behind the ball and should stay there throughout the swing. Your knees should have a slight bend in them for balance. You should also be leaning forward at the waist keeping your spine straight. Keeping the spine straight is very important because this is the axis you?ll be ?swinging? your body around. Your arms should be somewhat loose and hang from your shoulders down to grip the club.

Require To Know 4 Ways To Hammer The Long Hitter Each Time?

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

How to hammer the golfer that bombs the ball 300 plus yards.

1. Hitting the ball in a straight line.
Nothing gets within a long hitters head faster then a fairway hitting opponent. Chances are the long hitter is not the most right driver of the golf ball, maintain the intensity on by hitting the fairway as much as possible. But you need to utilize a hybrid club or a iron off the tee to keep the ball in the fairway, the mental edge of hitting the fairway outweighs the loss of distance. But you can learn how to hit longer drives with accuracy to even further improve your game.

2. Hitting the green everytime.
Most of if not all of the time you can be hitting firstly, keep the heat on by hitting the green. If he knows you are looking at birdie putts all day, it starts to wear on him

3. Having a fine short game rules.
The short game is the real equalizer on the golf course. If you maintain a sharp short game, you will compete against any golfer on the planet. Improve your short game and watch what happens.

4. Ignoring his distance.
Recognize the fact the he hits the ball 50 to 60 yards past you. If you accept the reality that distance doesn’t matter, you will have a further psychological benefit. What difference does it create if he is hitting a pitching wedge and you are hitting a 7 iron for your second shot? Golf is all about getting the ball in the hole in the smallest amount of strokes, not how you got the ball in the smallest amount of strokes.

When you are playing a match up next to a long hitter, and lets face it, with the technology in golf clubs, golf balls, strength training and nutrition, guys are hitting the ball 300 plus yards on a recurring basis. The fact still remains that when you are on the golf course you are walking (or riding) with a bag of tools. It is only a subject of using the accurate device for the job at hand. Does it truly matter what club it takes you to hit a golf ball 150 yards? Weather it’s a 6, 7,8 or 9 iron should not matter to you, and your opponents club selection must be the last issue from your mind during a match.

The smugness of the long hitters game is hitting it far, so the fact that you can compete with him without having to hit the 300 yard drives is by now a improvement in your favor if you choose to look at it that way. As a short hitter you ought to concentrate on keeping the pressure on as much as possible. The four steps that I have outlined can give you the mental edge that you require to contradict the long drives that your foe is blasting past you. You should not really worry to much about how far he is knocking that ball. Just concentrate on your game and you can easily overtake him.

If your short game is already where you want it and you want to increase your overall golf game by increasing your drive then you can also learn how to improve your golf swing the Purepoint Golf way. Also, for more information you can visit our blog as well at: www.golftipsinsider.com/blog

A More Dependable And More Perfect Swing

When I pick up my golf club in my hand, I feel like knocking the cover right off the ball. It makes me feel magnificent when I strike the ball via all of my power. Merely being capable to hit the ball solid does not indicate that I play a good golf game though. If you just yearn to reduce a little anxiety go ahead, by all means but this is better left to the driving range. If you want to play a good game of golf, you need to hold back on the power a little. One of the biggest mistakes that golfers? create is to swing their golf club too hard. This shows that you have power, but you require accuracy to play a good game of golf. But study how to correct golf swing and the power will follow.

Tensing up will cause you to use too much effort. When you are swinging your golf club, you just have to to relax and swing easily. This can aid to trim down your power. Putting your feet closer together will also help reduce the power of your swing. You should only use the amount of power that you are able to be in command of. Accuracy, not power is the key to playing a good game. Distance will come from a clean, correct swing, not by how much power you put into your swing. Tensing up when you are swinging your golf club will throw your balance off causing an inaccurate shot. Your club head should travel in a straight line with the ball. A smooth consistent swing with very little effort should be your goal. If the ball is hit correctly it will feel smooth and easy plus help with golf swing.

Your center of gravity is very important. You need a stable center of gravity that stays consistent. You can accomplish this by keeping your head still and both of your feet in the same position throughout your swing. You have to keep your feet planted firmly so that your weight is concentrated in your feet when you make contact with the ball. This will make your center of gravity more stable. Focus on the ball and try not to jerk your body or move your head while swinging your club. This will throw your center of gravity off, causing a bad swing and an inaccurate shot.

A tip to help correct slicing is to see how centered you can hit the ball with your club and how low you can keep the ball. If the ball flies too high, it can get caught up in the wind and can go left or right on rough ground. After you master a smooth, more consistent and more accurate swing you may gradually want to increase your speed.

How To Improve Your Rusty Golf Swing

How to Improve Your Rusty Golf Swing

Golf is a sport of luck, chance and lots of skills. It involves all of these three things working together to have a perfect game. It is an individual sport where everyone who aims to play it starts with the same skill set as everyone else. Compared to other games and sports that are played by people, golf highlights the differences in the styles of the athletes with every golf swing.

Speaking of golf swings, one of the most obvious differences in the playing style of different champions in the game of golf is their golf swing. Because of the differences in body type, arm length, shoulder length and arm strength, each individual golfer have different kinds of swings. The fundamentals of the game are the same for everyone with the exception of the swing. Some people hit hard enough to send the golf ball flying over 300 yards without much effort and for some people sending the ball 100 yards seem to be harder than finding a decent wife.

Even though the discrepancies in the swing usually determine the playing style of the golfer, there are ways on improving your golf swing good enough for professional tournaments. One of the most important steps to follow is the position of your neck and head during the swing. This is the most common tip given by coaches and it is one with the immediate results. The technique is to keep your head and neck in the same straight line with the rest of your spine.

Relaxing your head and neck so they find their place in the alignment of the spine and the neck region is important at this stage. Make sure that your arm will fit under your chin as you make the swing to keep the alignment straight. One of the common mistakes about the technique is that some golfer tuck the head into the shoulders to keep the rest of the neck moving. This does not work because during the motion of the swing the arm is forced to go around the chin, bending and affecting the line of flight of your ball.

To maximize the effect of this exercise, remember to put into practice at 25 times in a row. After the 25th swing rest for a while and practice another 25 swing in a row. Maintain your body position and your head and neck alignment. Make minor adjustments to make the position more comfortable. Do the exercise at least an hour to two hours in a day to make sure that your body is remembering the position it is most comfortable with. You might say that this is like conditioning your body to align itself automatically for every swing.

Another great way of improving your swing is to relax your body as you swing. Tense muscle movement leads to limited dexterity and flexibility. Relaxing your body as you swing helps a great deal in improving your game. When your body is tense, the burst of kinetic energy is cut short because it is hindered from moving in a free flowing way. And of course balance.

Balance is important in improving your golf swing because it directly affects the force that ball is hit with. Proper balance during the golf swing helps a great deal in releasing the maximum hit force.

Discover Helpful Tips About Changing The Awkward Shots Into Opportunities

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

For some of us golfers, this is something that happens to us more often that we would like. You know what I am talking about. Shots that throw you off balance or aren?t as simple as instruction videos or professionals make them look. Here are some great ways to overcome the awkward shots.

When you have an awkward shot to make, think about how you can swing, keep your balance, and keep from moving your head. Then imagine the line your club travels along.

Prior to setting up your shot, consider where the club head needs to travel for the greatest distance in a straight line. Keep in mind that the ball makes contact with the club head for several inches. After you make a few practice swings, you will be able to see what relationship your feet will have with the line and then you can determine your stance.

It is important to keep from swaying when you are about the hit the ball. Just before you swing, see if there is any problem keeping your balance. If there is, you need to keep shifting until you find a comfortable position where there is no tension in your swing. Freedom in your muscles and mind is what you are looking for so that you will be able to swing smoothly. If you are fidgety when you address the ball, you are not going to be able to focus on the ball. Be sure you keep your feet still.

Ensure that you can see the ball from the beginning to end of your swing. Even if it is a difficult shot, do not lose focus on the ball. This will help you hit the ball cleanly and solidly.

If you keep your eye on the ball, then your swing will be free from faults and the ball will be hit correctly. If you can keep your head still for the entire swing until the club head meets the ball, your swing will definitely improve. Then if you have an awkward shot, you will be able to hit it with confidence and assurance.

Bad or difficult weather can make any shot more difficult. When the wind is blowing, it is important to keep your feet closer together. It is natural to think that you just need to hit the ball harder, but the wind makes it even more important to hit the ball correctly.

The more awkward the shot, the more you need your muscles to be relaxed enough to make the shot. Here is a tip. The shorter the shot that you need to make, the closer your feet should be brought together. Hit the ball true, instead of with all of your strength to keep it from bouncing away and reducing the distance that it travels.

Awkward and difficult shots are something that every golfer needs to learn to deal with. Once you learn how to handle them, then you will be much more confident and be enjoying a lower golf score!
